Tehalit GmbH certified "High Protected Risk"

FM Global, which insures Hager Group sites against the risks of damage to property, fire damage, water damage, natural risks and so on, officially handed over the certification during a ceremony on Friday 19th August 2011 in Heltersberg.

Heltersberg is the first Hager Group site to obtain this "High protected risk" certification.

Congratulations to our Tehalit GmbH & Co KG General Services teams led by Michael Schwarz, General Services Manager and supported by the general management who have integrated the appropriate prevention and protection resources.

This certifications rewards all the efforts which have been made both in terms of prevention and protection:

In terms of prevention...

On-site fire-fighting employees

Fire prevention coordinators and floor officers making monthly inspections

Alert plan with 24-hour standby

Action plans and indicators

Smoking ban, hot spot working procedure, electrical maintenance, etc.

Perfect upkeep of premises, periodic prevention inspections,

Storage and handling rules for combustible materials, flammable liquids, etc.,

Human risk prevention: accident, human error, incorrect manoeuvres, etc.

In terms of protection...

Fire protection: fire walls and doors, portable extinguishers and training in their use,

Automatic sprinklers or gas fire extinguishing systems in sensitive areas, as well as CO² extinguishers, etc.,

Protection against natural risks: flooding, water damage, snow, hail, violent winds, etc.,

Protection against special risks: explosion, hydraulic equipment, flammable liquids, gas, electrical equipment, ventilation systems, etc.

Emergency situation reaction plans, evacuation plans, first level intervention teams.

We would like to encourage the teams at other Hager Group sites to deploy the same prevention and protection procedures to guarantee a bright future for our activities.
